You may have noticed that after you synced your account with Closely, your messages on LinkedIn appear as read even if you haven't opened them yet.

​Why does it happen?

In order to display conversations in the inbox inside our application, our automation bot opens them on LinkedIn. Since there is no API in LinkedIn, it cannot be implemented otherwise for now.

Messages in Closely Inbox will be marked as unread until you open them, so we recommend using Closely to manage your conversations.
